Star next to stats on weapons

I just fished a Neptune's sword out of the water, and it has an extra stat on the bottom not on the wiki that is +3 speed, but instead of the double arrow icon that usually denotes speed, its a gold star. I couldn't find what this meant. Is this from the new update?

1.6 added some bonuses to some dropped loot. The little star marks the bonus stat.
