Iridium Band + Burglar
or
Iridium Band + Lucky Ring
Iridium Band + Lucky Ring
if I'm not going for drops
The Iridium Band combines the effects of the Glow Ring, Magnet Ring, and Ruby Ring. Its effects stack with another Iridium Band, a Glow Ring, a Glowstone Ring, a Magnet Ring, or a Ruby Ring. It displays a purple band with four different gems on them, presumably Ruby, Emerald, Topaz, and Aquamarine. However, it does not have the effects of the latter three.
no point ever using ruby ring if you have access to iridium
(edit: unless you want a 20% attack ring as you cant combine 2 iridium bands together)
I am of the unpopular opinion that Slime Charmer Ring is overrated. I guess it could be a good option if you struggle to avoid slime lunge attacks, but for me it's a waste of a ring slot.
Napalm ring is fun, but when I'm doing deep dives I just ignore enemies and spam the heck out of regular bombs. Could be a decent cost saving measure if you don't want to burn through 100+ bombs per run, though.
Iridium band + slime ring
crabshell + vampire
Combined with crusader on the galaxy/infinity sword and efficient on the iridium pickaxe, I'm good to go and feel practically invincible. I just wish the magnetic part of the iridium band had better range.
I do a lot of slime farming, so having the latter is pretty much essential.
Hadn't had enough ingredients for 2 iridium bands at the time (Or had more better use for them) so I went with the ruby instead at first ;)
My thoughts behind Slime Charmer + Napalm was the combined bonus of not havign to deal with the occasional chip damage slimes will do over several hundred levels of the SC and the fun effect of enemy kills blowing up stones and opening up stairs/hole
Second either iridium + napalm or iridium + crab, for Qi challenges extra defense is worthy and no need to preserve bombs so much at this stage, otherwise iridium + napalm.
Burglar + lucky
I like luck :)
since the addition of basalisk paw i have stopped using slime ring entirely. i switch between fairy and basalisk andjust doing this makes it kind of pointless IMO since the fairy heals the dmg and the basalisk prevents the slow
napalm is good tho ya
I always use an iridium band and usually vamperic/burgler/lucky if/when I get them
when I did a combat focused run with a crit build I used the ring that increased crit chance.
Early game is the glowstone ring, swapped out later for Iridium band, and whatever my best other ring at the time is. Prioritizing obtaining the slime charmer and burglar rings ASAP.
Somewhat relevant; A ring combination using the Immunity band while wearing Cinderclown shoes or Mermaid boots is also quite useful for combat.
