Winter crows??

Do crows show up in the winter time?? One of my powdermelons is missing and I know it didn't die off

Near as I can tell, Crows are not seasonal. Powdermelons are crops, however (and can grow into Giant crops, btw), so enough Powdermelons growing without a Scareceow will summon them

correct crows are not seasonal, so long as you have 16 or more crops planted a crow will attempt to eat them unless you have a scarecrow, the exception is wildseeds crows wont eat them

By the way, crows are actually smarter than dogs. I read recently that dogs have the mental capacity of a 3-4 year old child. Crows have the abilities of a 5-6 year old. Perhaps a crow did manage to get one of your powdermelons. LOL

People really need to stop with those silly comparisons. How would one even quantify the intelligence comparison between these two animals? A bird with great deductive skills that does well within its own social group, and a herd animal that has lived with humans for thousands of years and learned to understand human behavior so well that you can train it to, for example, become a rescue dog?

Those two are so different and have such vastly different types of intelligence, that you cannot possibly make a call on which animal is "more intelligent" in any objective sense without skewing the result by selecting for a particular type of intelligence.

I was going to, but Gold Dragon had already provided the answer that I would have provided. Then Calico Witch's post got my attention, and then after they had made clear that they're not interested in what I have to offer and we both had moved on, you drew my attention again.

Why are you still here though? Seems like you already got your answer and are, by your own definition, "spamming this forum" now. If you don't think this is a reasonable use of the forums, you should probably stop fighting and continue the wondrous adventure of life with something more productive.
