Abigail or Haley? Who’s the better marriage option?

I’ve gotten a decent stretch into the game and have decided to start trying my luck with the pelican town dating scene.

I’ve narrowed it down to two candidates: Haley and Abigail, but I can’t seem to decide between them.

One’s an adventurous goth who eats rocks

While the other is a beautiful ice queen with a photography habit, prime for defrosting.

Lend a hand to an eligible farmer?

Haley is a really nice girl when you get through the first few heart events. I like Abby, but Haley all the way.

from a gameplay standpoint, Haley loves coconuts and sunflowers.

Coconuts with iridium star quality with the botanist perk are an easy to acquire gift. and sunflowers can be farmed.

Abigail loves purple rocks and pumpkins. pumpkins can be farmed but are ...more difficult than sunflowers so its usually the purple rocks which are easy to find early but we are no longer early and would prefer the quicker path of iridium star coconuts.

haley provides food more regularly, whereas Abigail gives rocks and monster parts?

I would verdict haley is the better wife at the stage of the game you are at.

Not to mention, you can reliably secure 4 hearts with Haley early in the game with an abundant, cheap resource (Daffodils), which are capable of being higher quality as well, allowing you to easily secure a Spring Dance with her. Her birthday is also in Spring, further speeding up the process.

You can do the same with Abigail, but it's less reliable (because Pierre is closed on Wednesdays, meaning talking to her every day is difficult compared to Haley) and Quartz/Amethyst only ever drop at common rarity, so they aren't really worth gifting to her and are better used to supplement your economic growth, not to mention you don't even have access to the Mines for the better part of the first week.

Most of the characters are genial but i personally really enjoy Haley turning from snob to, well, person.

Abigail is slightly better for fishing and offense by the stuff she gives you, and Haley is slightly better for defense and foraging

With Joja route on top, it makes you/your kids a heir to local real estate monopolists and an access to the most sick high-tech stuff in near future, in addition to being literally a monopolist on vegetables (and a solid contender for animal produce) for whole village AND a corporation backed capitalist AND a heir to Grandpa's spiritual legacy.
Of Abigail vs Haley, obviously, Abigail. With classic route.
A heir to local powerful mage... same as previous option, but with fancy dresses and an option to double down on making little forest buggers do stuff for you at no extra cost.
The only option which beats BOTH - bangable Mr Qi - is not in the game nor implied, unfortunately.
