I'd actually guess that I wouldn't have been bothered as much trying to pull this off if it took place in a different game, but the fact that such a stressful mini-game is present in one of the most relaxing games I own was definitely not lost on me lol.
You are no longer required to beat JotPK in one session like you were before 1.5, which added the ability to save your progress after every level simply by exiting the game. Once you come back, you'll be able to pick up right where you left off.
This also makes the regular clear achievement a lot easier to get, since you can just restart the day and try again if things don't go very well. If you don't grab enough coins to get the essential upgrades, you can just restart and hope the RNG fares much better next time.
Similarly, when going for Fector's Challenge, you can just restart the level you were on instead of the whole thing by restarting the day if you die at any point in the challenge as your save keeps track of whether you died during the challenge or not.
I can only say I wish I had that when I did it, LOL!
There are cheating mods for it yes, and to each their own I guess. Not much of a challenge if you cheat but I can sort of understand it if a person has put in countless tries without succeeding. So once again, to each their own on that one.
