i can't use my trinkets

i have looted a lot of different trinkets by now but still i cannot equip them. Anybody knows this issue?

yes a lot of mods, but all popular ones and when i look up the comments on the mods , i do not see anybody with same bug so its hard to know its its a mod then wich one it is, and i do not really want to take out mods because i can break my game.

The trinklet slot should only appear once you unlocked said Combat Mastery, which is your case.
Nonetheless it should appear with a star in the background when empty, and not that circle-ish thing yours displays (cf your screenshot).
So if you're not using any mods you'd better send a message to ConcernedApe: my money would be it's a code problem.

Edit: ah, mods. Yeah, that might be the issue then. It takes a while for the mods to catch up when a newer version is put online. Does your brother use them as well? You could cross check with him and proceed by elimination.

he is using a few of them, i was mostly wondering if i could find someone with same problem.



ill recheck every mods on nexus and read all posts agsin. at least i still can play and have fun, fortunately trinkets are not a major part of this game!

My trinket looks the same as yours does with the weird circle thing instead of the star and I'm unable to equip trinkets. I also use a lot of mods so must be an issue with one of them or how two are trying to interact with each other.

ok took a quick look and you have some mods that have not been updated that may cause a conflict,
Some content packs haven't been updated for Stardew Valley 1.6.0. Content Patcher will try to auto-migrate them, but compatibility isn't guaranteed.

Affected content packs:
- DaisyNiko's Tilesheets
- ElianNPC
- Kids Treehouse
- Xiddav's Tilesheet

Also you seem to have 2 mods that effect your outfit/hats, and they may be in conflict with letting you wear the trinkets. Take a look at compatibility for
Fashion Sense and Hat Mouse Lacey - Core

I am not familiar with those but they maybe the problem.
I know my mods would not let me have children because I had Planned Parenthood installed and it had not been updated to 1.6, even though my log showed no errors, it was causing a conflict and I had to delete it.

Take a look at each of those and hopefully you will find a problem. Make sure ALL your mods have been updated for 1.63.

hi! i think i have the same interface mod and my slot wasn't showing up at all either. i tried dragging a trinket to where it SHOULD be and it worked. i hope this helps you too!

I realise that doesn't narrow it down by much, but I feel confident in saying it's not any of the tilesheets (even DaisyNikos, which hasn't updated), as they simply don't touch the menu. I'm going to try flicking a few on/off and see what sticks. Will report back.

EDIT: It's Bigger Backpack. The additional row bumps everything else down and scrunches up all of the slots in the bottom section. As Chessie noted I can get one equipped with a mouse, but definitely not with a controller.

EDIT EDIT: So it's actually Bigger Backpack and Circle of Thorns. Mateo adds in an extra slot, and bigger backpacks shrinks the available screen real estate. Desty is aware and is working on a fix.

yeah with that many mods I would assume its some not updated for 1.6

but I haven't actually looked into it.
