Lets (not) all go to the movies?

For background: singleplayer, did community center, got the movie theatre a little bit ago. Decided to actually go see a movie and invited Dwarf (I need more hearts with him, he doesn't care what movie is playing he just likes the novelty OF movies being a thing, it usually works great). Go inside, order him a snack, all normal.

I try to go from the lobby to the room where you actually SEE the film, my game apparently can't render the cutscene? At all? I get an error message and then am back in the lobby.

Trying to go through the back doors, I get the message that the movie's already over. Lady selling snacks is asking how I liked the movie, etc. I try talking to Dwarf.

Stardew freezes for maybe 10-15 seconds, then shuts down. I have to reopen the game and start that day over from the beginning.

I tested this a couple times and it happened every time. The only way I avoided the game dying on me afterwards was by NOT talking to my guest and just leaving the movie theatre, but Stardew asked if I really wanted to leave 'without seeing the movie'. The movie that it also said was already over.

So basically as long as I never ever try to actually see a movie my game is ok??? Please tell me this is on the to-be-fixed list ;_;

Same to me. When Ape said 1.6.6 for fixed bug, I am happy then found out no movie bug include, I was sad

this just happened to me, i have mods but none of them effect the move theater. i am glad this isnt just me but im hoping it gets fixed!
