Like, Mr Qi steps back from his gizmos for a day and lets Randy do Randy things...
Please no thanks. Had enough mechanoid clusters from good old Randy.
For me, he always starts with early Toxic Fallout.
So I genuinely panicked when I witnessed Green Rain for the first time AND listened to George's response to it AND noted that all communications with outside world are down.
I wonder what would gonna happen if I'll manage to repair the bus prior to Green Rain.
Will Pam chicken out - or will she become the hero we need (but not the hero we deserve) and evacuate people of Stardew Valley?
"To each their own y'all, I'm outta here! HEY, who stole my beer?!"
If anyone's gonna be the hero, it'd be Willy ferrying people to Ginger Island as fast as he can. Or us if we can convince the people of Pelican Town to touch any Desert or Ginger Island Totems we've built on our farm. "No, the rain ISN'T mossing over my brain, this will LITERALLY take you to the Desert!"
"Sure, farmer, sure. And next you'll say there's still dinosaurs still alive."
"There ARE. I can take you into my barn RIGHT NOW and show you like... FOUR of them."
"Oh no. I've seen enough horror movies to know where THAT is going to lead."
She'll also give a lift to Gus. Because "Don't threaten the guy who pours the drinks." (c) Vander
She'll probably pull Willy along due to their ages long rivalry on fishing ground (and since they might be siblings). One does not simply discard a rival that ancient and call it a victory.
She'll likely tag Mr and Mrs Mullner (and their grandson, by extent) out of sheer respect to the elders and neighbourly bonds.
Which, by extent, would mean that Haley is hopping in too because - reasons...
...in the end, whole village will end up packed in and riding towards the Land of Sand and Coffee.
I bet that they're accustomed to magic of sorts.
I mean, recall Halloween event. However good the Wizard is, he HAVE to resort to ASK people to not look at him building the maze. Amidst of village's main street.
Illusion is not the Wizard's strongest suit. Teleportation and PROBABLY land shaping is.
(I still believe that he need Linus's help to set the Maze up though - but it's soooooo far-fetched...)
He also possesses 3rd probable escape route - teleportation circle - and 2 (TWO) damn good reasons to allow villagers to use it...
(also, can anyone remind me how the hell Gunther operates the Museum? My Memory gives me a brain fart when I try to remember this)
And as we're just recounting probabilities and variants... 4th potential escape route is Joja logistics. They haul goods to and money from the village somehow...
Green Rain event never happened in the South, at least more than 20 years in the Stardew town.
Noone "normal person" hasn't witnessed the rain for generations, and Summer year 1 is the first time the Green Rain phenomenon occurs.
This is supported by Geogre and Evelyn's reaction, given that those two just believe the end is near.
But, there are two people in town that are already aware of Green Rain phenomenon. Wizard and Linus. The Ferngill Republic also know the rain phenomenon, so seem like this phenomenon spreads to the South one day recently.
So my theory of Green Rain is because of the change in environment. The rain is green and moss grows everywhere that day. This prompt me to theorize that green = moss or plant-like substance.
Those green can possibly thrive by pollution in the air, so it can be:
+Joja expansion causes pollution on the air
+War against those from Gotoro Empire
The nature is trying to heal itself, truely.
Joja just finished some drilling in mountains, right before player arrival, which resulted in Mines inaccessibility, among other things.
As mountains in this particular spot are not as high (nor as steep) to have such consequences from just few explosions... what were they drilling and with which equipment?
