what does slime slayer do?

I got it as a drop in the minds (sword with this enhancement)? What buff against slimes does it give? The sword is only level 1 though, so not super helpful in that sense.

I cannot find the answer for this for the life of me. It's just a level 1 carving knife with a star that says "slime slayer" but I can't tell what it does. I'm assuming just nothing?

I'm willing to bet it makes you hit slimes a little harder.

Slime Slayer increases damage to smaller slimes by 33% + 1. Doesn't help with big slimes though.
