Danger in the Deep Achievement?

I am currently trying to get the new achievements in my former '100% perfection' save file, but I seem unable to get this one. I have accepted the danger in the deep special order and got to floor 100 (also went to 120 just in case) but I didn't get the achievement. I had already completed it before, so does it only work for your first time? Any help would be greatly appreciated (would be sad to have to achieve it in a different save file).

UPDATE: I was indeed doing the wrong quest, completeing the correct one in the mines gave me the achievement! Thanks all

It definitely should only trigger at floor 120, as that's the end of the mines. I imagine the trigger for the achievement would either be finishing the quest (giving the achievement as you receive the Qi gems), or when you unlock the Shrine of Challenge. If it's the latter, you might need to start a new save...

Just to cross our T's: you're sure you accepted the "Danger In the Deep" quest for the regular mines, not one of the Skull Cavern quests, correct? The description should be "The mine elevator system has been reset, and new dangers have emerged from deep underground. Make it to the bottom of the mines in one week."

There's two quests involving Skull Cavern that both mention making it to level 100, but that's not "Danger in the Deep"; those are Qi's Hungry Challenge and Skull Cavern Invasion, neither of which have an achievement associated with them.

It might also be tied to the in-game achievement system, meaning if you already have the achievement, there could be a bug associated with it that it won't give it to you if you already had done it on that save?

You are indeed going to have to do it in a new save. I just finished the DitD today and it popped up just fine

Is your mine set on dangerous? Its toggle-able on & off at the shrine. I have mine permanently set as dangerous & got the achievement by going back to the last floor/shrine.

same for me, my mine was set in dangerous mode and i got the achievement as soon i reached the last floor with the elevator.

If you already unlocked the dangerous mines before 1.6 then going to floor 120 where the shrine is should trigger it. Worked for mine. Could be it needs set to dangerous though. I'm not sure what mine was set at.

Check if it's about the skull cavern instead of the regular ones, I have the same mission and it's on Skull Cavern actually.

I was indeed doing the skull cavern one and not the regular mines one. I wasn’t reading the descriptions, foolishly, so just assumed this was the one to do. I will try again with the right quest and hopefully will get the achievement!

I got it on an old save. Took Qi's quest to reach the bottom of the dangerous mines. (The normal mines that Qi's quest made dangerous). Staircased it all the way down. Done.

I'd previously reached level 120 of the standard mine and something like level 40 of the Skull Cavern.

Unrelated: also staircased all the way down to level 100 in the Skull Cavern. That doesn't work for the achievement but it does work for getting Mr Qi to meet you on level 100.
