Prismatic Jelly?

Any tip for this one? Several weeks I took this quest again and again and no luck..

Do I understand proeprly at each mine reset it select one of slime on any of 120 floor for this? Or there is at least some pattern?

At edge case I can maybe go through all floors at once with excessive usage of bombs and staircases but I would like to eveade that at stage I am..

I recall the Jelly drops from a prismatic slime after you take the quest. Fastest way to get 1 is to enter the 1st floor and leave when you don’t see the slime.

yea look up what mine level slimes spawn on (that's what i did) and just enter the elevator, go to the level and check if it's there, if it's not just exit the elevator... repeat.

i did this and found the rainbow slime in like an hour. it's easy to see once you find it, it's a normal sized slime but it is changing colors

Heh, nvm, got it following day going 4 floors 90-93.. seems best strategy is jsut complaining:o)

How I usually get it in 1 day is to just go to floor 5, 15 and 25. Just jump between all 3 elevator floors and if you don't find it, use elevator to floor 0 and repeat. Doing it this way, I don't think I've ever not found it in just 1 day with this method.

Monster Musk is your friend for this one. The jelly itself is 100% drop rate, but getting the prismatic slime to spawn in the first place can be a challenge.

The quest for prismatic jelly is what gives you monster musk unfortunately!

For anyone else that may see this and needing help, use the elevator to floor 5. look if not then leave and go to floor 5 again. This works because of the 5th floor rule, floor 5 specifically can only spawn slimes, blue bugs, and rock crabs with a bias towards slimes. Took me about 15 minutes until the slime spawned, but with the low % chance it could take a while!

I think you can also get monster musk from trading in a book to the bookseller, but not sure the odds are better. You could also do a quick check of the x1 floors for an infested one, If there's one, farm it, if not elevator to the small x5 floors.

This I recommed mostly. This raise the chance of finding the slime.

Booksellers now monster musks, provide you have specific books to trade with. Stock them up now is "Use monster musk to discover monster musk."

Start the mines dive early in the morning.
Take a ride to level 15.
Rush to 19, check if any level on the way have Infestation. I believe it's almost guaranteed to appear at that part of delve AND almost guaranteed to contain only slimes.
If you got it right - grind it. Eventually, Rainbow Slime will appear there.

NB: it might be a superstition but I prefer resetting floors by taking a ladder upwards.
Never an elevator.
Never got quest targets in reasonable amount of time if I leave through elevator then re-delve...

Spam level 5 in the mines as one said. Make sure to exit through stairs. Took 2 in game days for me.

you can get monster musk trading with the bookkeeper if you find a combat book (at least I think its a combat book)

pretty sure using the elevator doesn't reset floors, if you got good rng and got to an elevator and missed something you can head back and try the same floors again

the entrance ladder / exit ladder will respawn cave floors tho

Elvator to 0 reset floors normally.. I use it all the time.
