NPCs get married?
I wish the other bachelors/bachelorettes would get married as you continue to befriend them. Would make for a fun "competition". Anyone else?

Sebastian/Abigail is a given, but I'm not sure if I want to see someone marrying my too most disliked characters. I would feel sorry for the poor soul.

Some of the older Harvest Moon games did that, it was a cool feature.

from a gameplay perspective this wont happen not without mods, even though each marriage candidate has a default love interest they do not marry them this allows the player to divorce/marry as many times as they want

A part of me would like rival marriages, but a part of me would not. So, I think it's best if rival marriages came from a mod.

I like the idea but its probably not in the game because it flies against the "do whatever you want without consequence" ethos of the game

Friends of Mineral Town original version had this and it was patched out in the remake for a reason players would often get locked out of their spouse unless they rushed that part of the game immediately or avoided areas that had the two NPC's heart events. It sucked to reset a day because you accidentally wandered into their event.

I think a rival marriage after getting married would be nice, and if it was just a random chance since some players use the divorce mechanic so there still needs to be options. Or if the NPCs had a very small chance every month to decide to get married / divorced and only 1 couple can roll it (or not roll either) every month, with Robin and Demetrius / Pierre and Caroline / George and Evelynn being an exception of course. It'd also be interesting to see Lewis and Marnie get a marriage event.

Making it so it only happens on year 3+ too could be an option without forcing too many players into a box.

I want an option to... uhm... have my rival help fertilize my farm.

I'll be honest - I've never divorced a person once I decided to marry them - so never considered it from that angle. And I know nothing about game coding/making. But could always have the option to be like "Hey [player] do you think I should marry xyz" kind of like when it asked if you want to have a baby - that way it would give you the option to say no and then nothing changes.

Be nice if it was a setting you could enable or disable. I'd love to be able to set up a few different people (or just let them happen normally) but I can also see not wanting to play with that.

Always thought Linus could get Cliff to realise his true self...
