The dirt patch west of Marnies is good for trees or other processing items too, only Jas will path through this and she does it in a straight line so its easy to make a path for her. I commonly grow trees here without thinking about their placement and she weaves through them every time.
The fence along the bus stop is free real estate, along with the open areas on the side. Just be aware of Pam once you fix the bus.
The road past the bus stop is entirely safe and the tunnel is too.
The mountain path to Robin's has no NPC pathing so is a safe area to process stuff or grow / tap trees.
The dirt patch in front of Robin's house has no pathing except for the path from town to Robin's house. The entire left side is clear. Again, good spot for trees. There is a larger dirt patch above Robin's house but Linus can path here (and I have gotten stuck on a tree trying to do Linus's wild bait event cutscene like this too if you couldn't skip events it'd be a softlock)
The train area is pretty barren with only Linus really causing trouble here, but its a bit out of the way with nothing to do out there.
Farm Cave can be a good spot if you check it regularly unlike me who pretty much ignores it.
Barns / Coops have plenty of space for processing and can double as a smaller shed.
