Question about weapons?

I would like to know if the level of a weapon is important, as well as the critical power of a weapon, and if so in what way?

In a sense, the "level" of a weapon is just a label. According to the SDV wiki, the level is calculated based on the weapon's damage and other attributes. Of course, more damage is always better. I think "critical power" means that the usual random critical hits do even more bonus damage than a standard critical hit. "Speed" refers to the weapon's speed, not the player's. "Weight" gives it a bigger (or smaller) knockback effect when it hits a monster without killing it.

Frankly only thing that matter for me is damage and speed, rest of stats is kinda irrelevant (can consider extra abilities like vampiric). Also using swords 100% time, the hitbox arc is godsend against all flying monsters coming from various angles and slime packs. Tried something awkward like critical dagger in the past but it is terrible for most situations and there are not any boss fights or whatever that would prefer single target focus.
