Do normal/common trees now lose leaves during fall?
Hello,
I'm wondering if it's part of the new update or if it's a bug but my trees namely the Maple trees on my farm are losing their leaves in fall. The tapper on them also stops working. The appearance of the maple tree also looks different to the winter maple tree. They look like when the green rain trees don't have leaves instead.
Is anyone else experiencing this?

I don't know if its a bug. but after I had the green rain event one of my maples changed to that new tree design. I did still get maple but it took a long time to get it. I think it went back to normal for a while and then went back to the weird looking tree again. But I cant remember now. I just started my first winter since the green rain but haven't checked that part of the farm yet.

Rarely some trees in 1.6 seem to undergo transformation into mossy seed trees in similar fashion to mushroom trees. Might need to cut that tree down and replace.

It's not a bug. The trees go dormant in winter, which means loosing leaves in fall, like they do in real life now.

Thank you for everyone's reply!
I see now that it might be part of the update since I also had the green rain and I've read the list from the link tamanduaGirl provided.
I might cut them down and replace them instead as suggested.
I appreciate the help!

only the evergreen trees retain their trees in winter, If you chop new ones they will still lose their leaves,
