Son of Crimsonfish can't be catched during Night Market?

Hi hello!

Not sure if this was an issue before the recent 1.6 update or if it is a bug that dropped alongside with it. I can't, for the life of me, catch the last fish for Qi's quest Extended Family, that being Son of Crimsonfish, while the Night Market is happening. Sadly, the time limit on this quest is 3 days, so there's even no way to wait for the end of the Nigh Market. Yes, I did fish on my usual spot, where I get the fish without no problems. I was fishing from 6 am to 10 pm and nothing, got just loooots of rubbish.

Qi's quests are already painfull enough and pay (in most cases) too little gems and now I am sad, because I have to wait for it and do it again.

Did anyone experience the same thing? I know the parameters to met this scenario are quite specific... But I never had issue with it before.

Ran into the same issue in 1.6 aswell. Spent all 3 days fishing off the eastern pier with no luck, mostly just trash with the occasional winter ocean fish. Tried fishing with Magic Bait for the entirety for the last day aswell but still ended up not seeing Son of Crimsonfish even once.

Minor inconvenience in the grand scheme of things but nonetheless would be nice if it could get fixed!

Yeah, it's not like it is a game breaking bug, it's just bit annoying to deal with for sure. Let's see if ConcernedApe will look into it or not. I know I saw someone posting about it also on the SV wiki. Unfortunately the discussion itself has been already deleted when I got to it. Only the link to it exists when you Google search it.

Same problem here. I'm glad I thought to check the discussion page to see if anyone else is having this odd issue, instead of futilely continuing to try. Oh, well, I guess I'll just sell the other fish and try again next time the challenge appears - just not on the third Monday in winter! Maybe CA will fix it down the road.

I found one other possible bug, too. A couple of my winnings from the movie theater crane game (a junimo doll and the poster for Zuzu City Express) disappeared from my backpack inventory overnight. However, I also won a green and white candy cane that same day, and placed it on the farm before I went to bed - that's still there. Maybe I'll try to report this separately.

Actually running into this problem right now. Just took my second Qi Quest, and it was this one. Found myself completely unable to catch it, and only catching trash, squids, and albacore. Glad to know it's not just me having terrible luck, but also kinda sucks that I won't be able to finish the quest, and will have to wait to finish filling my fish tanks

I believe this "bug" is possible due to Night Market is another beach map.

Yea better report it to CA so he adds the fish into the available one in the "Night Market" one.

Damn, i guess its because the night market
