Pumpkin seeds disappearing

I planted Pumpkin seeds during the fall season and it seems that the next day the seeds disappear. I had to continue buying seeds only for the issue to continue happening. Is there a workaround with this, i water my plants everyday and i need the pumpkin to finish the community center.

I am just wondering if its because of the patch or if its a bug. I haven't had this issue before

Which platforms and how they dissappear?

Did you put it in a chest somewhere? Your playthrough is modded?

I assume you have a scarecrow in range?
