The Vancouver Concert

Oh man, I just got home from the live Stardew Valley concert in Vancouver! That was something really special. Concerned Ape showed up and the theatre crowd went wild. He did not speak for long, but he did speak with powerful humility about the whole experience. He also pointed out that he had to stop at a Starbucks on the way in from the States to be able to drop the 1.6.3 patch using their wi-fi. He doesn't take much time off for pleasure.

The music was sweet and played with tremendous love for the source material. I got a lot out of the live performance, so much nuance that I seem to have missed by simply playing the game.

The crowd was fun as well, they got into the Stardew groove quickly. There weren't as many Haleys as I thought there would be. I saw a Kent, a Harvey, a Shane (with a chicken), and a few Penny's, Leah's, and Emily's. Plenty of miscellaneous farm folk. I was the only Morris. And there was an absolutely spot-on Mr. Qi who was crazy awesome. It was hard to look at him he was so much into character. Unbelievable.
