unable to find golden coconuts since update

since the 1.6.6 update i have been unable to find any golden coconuts :( is this just a bad luck issue on my behalf or are others noticing the same thing?

They are relatively rare. But you can always buy some for 10 regular coconuts at the island trader if you have found at least one on this savefile before.

I'm in the same boat. almost 3 seasons so far without a coconut, and I've been going every day. All for a blooming skull

Hm, and I thought they are less rare... I get one golden coconut like every Ginger Island visit (I'm not going that often, once a week maybe). They just fall from trees I shake with a normal coconut in it.

If you don't mod, I would say: Luck issue.

It took a year for me to find enough golden coconuts to get the skull. I opened about 20 of them iirc, so slightly more than 1 found per week.
