Best ring combos for Skull Cavern
I'm currently using two combined rings (obviously)
Iridium + burglar
And iridium + lucky

I'm using two iridium bands because with just one I was having trouble with the magnetism, losing precious time walking towards the loot

What are your thoughts? :stardrop:

On my previous save, ran with Iridium + Lucky and Burglar + Lucky.

Gotta maximise those Treasure Rooms. :steamhappy:

Cool. I thought about using 2 lucky rings, but I've found just one so far (inside the skull cave, no luck panning so far)

Vampire, iridium, lucky and burglar is my favorite ring combo. I sometimes swap the vampire one with a second lucky ring. Gotta get all that loot! xD

i think if you have combined rings it doesn't matter anymore.

the best you can do is use double luck/drop rings when fighting/mining and then (use a mod to) swap to magnetism rings when you are done.

What do you mean by double drop? As far as I know the burglar ring effect doesn't stack
I know the lucky one stacks, but the burglar doesn't. Does it???

I use a lot of mods, but I tend to avoid ring and backpack ones, I think they are too overpowered and somewhat game breaking

The thing with those type of mods is you don't really need them so you can ignore them, but having them truly doesn't break the game. It's like playing an RPG like Skyrim and giving yourself infinite carrying capacity; Not having to deal with encumbrance is just really nice. So, if you want to have a lot of rings, it won't break the game.

As for which rings to use, one ring everyone should have is Iridium + Lucky. It is always a good idea to have that combo regardless of what you do. However, the second pair can change based on what you do.

For example, Napalm + Burglar is a really important one for Skull Cavern as it will explode rocks whenever you kill enemies so you can potentially save staircases, and it can hurt other enemies as well. I would ignore Vampire Ring and instead try enchanting your main weapon with Vampiric.

If you aren't spelunking, then another Lucky ring with anything else is better. I'd recommend Slime Charmer + Lucky. It just stops slimes from being annoying. Useful for a quick trip in the Volcano or if you have a slime hutch.

I used to HATE the napalm ring because it destroyed my farm several times
But now CA patched this on 1.6 and it doesn't damage the farm anymore, so I'll think about it

I need to get my hands on another lucky ring, but I'll kill some serpents to get the napalm one too

It depends on what you want w respect to what you have available atm. I think the meta set is lucky/burglar and lucky/ iridium or naplam to maximize the luck odds.

The sets ppl norm start on is iridium/burglar and iridium/ whatever.

Personally, Iridium/Lucky as a go to, and either Iridum/Burgler or Napalm/Burgler depending on what I have unlocked.
