What do you think the new festivals will be?

Included in the 1.6 patch notes is two new mini-festivals and one major festival. What do you think they are going to be?

Personally, I think (and hope) one of the new mini-festivals is going to be New Year's Eve on the 28th of Winter!

I agree, I think one will be New Year's, I think another might be the Farmer's birthday - I always found it odd that you could input your own birthday in so many other games but not this one.

Other than those, I guess we'll find out soon!

If town notices my birthday in any festival-esque way I'll be skipping that day. New years I agree with, but birthday celebration better not be until you've 100%'d the community center and cleared both dungeons, but I'm doubtful it'll be birthday

I honestly never thought of the idea of player birthdays and/or how they could be integrated into the game itself. Come to think of it, even the villagers barely acknowledge or celebrate their own birthdays at all, so I often forget that they're even a thing given how minor of a role they have in the game as it is currently.

The most that happens is they act shocked from you giving them something they like on their birthday increasing your friendship with them more than usual, but that's about it. No parties, no presents given to them from other villagers and no cake (it's a lie, after all).

i could imagine something that makes use of the community centre once rebuild.

And other than that yeah, new year seems to be the most likely festival, but i could also imagine something in the mountains (maybe something adventurer guild related?) or at the pond in the woods. Something on Ginger island would be nice too.

As for the birthday, i think it shouldn't be something like afestival, however i feel like having the 3 people with the highest hearts (or 2+ wife/husband) wait for you at the door in the morning to gift a littlebit to you sounds doable.

Only problem of course is that players that complete the Joja path instead of the CC path would miss out on that entirely unless some kind of alternative is used for Joja which in that case wouldn't quite be the same. I really like the idea though, as the completed Community Centre doesn't get enough utilisation in-game.

If there was to be something Adventurer's Guild or combat related, I think a swordplay duel might be an interesting idea.

Maybe one of the festivals will be related to Ginger Island, because even though you have repaired all the places on that island nothing special happens there.
