As for it staying in the same place - you jsut got unlucky, usually those cursed ones move around a lot.
About the time-travel - you can fiddle with saves, but even that can only get you back one day from your current day. For more than that you would need a back-up save for specific date.
Remember - always back-up your saves!
I never really thought about how strange this concept is... but why would you go to bed without your axe or pickaxe at-hand?
And afaik, you can't move it like a chest by just tapping. Chests are "special" in this regard.
No, you can't move the bed while still staying it it.
Or at least that's how it was for me just yesterday (can't move bed while occupied).
I didn't think the ones from Sandy were cursed. If I get one as a drop, it's going right in the trash.
