don't like the mines very much
Love this game but anything to do with the mines is harrowing to me, just wanted to make a discussion in case other ppl felt the same

I don't really mind the mines, but the fact that Iridium is basically locked behind a speed-run dungeon is not something I really like. It's really one of my only complaints about the game. I do not like speed-running stuff, especially when I am playing a relaxing game like this.

I recently found a very simple, lesser know mod that makes an absolute night and day difference to combat and everything else in Stardew, it's called Don't Stop Me Now and simply allows you to keep moving during tool and weapon animations.

The only side effects are occasional minor animation glitches, and I don't know why the game nails you to the floor for every action - nothing breaks mechanically and turning that off feels like the way it was always supposed to be.

Thank you for the mod!

no fr lol, I love the inclusion of monsters don't get me wrong, very cool and gives you a challenge, but they just do something to me that makes me violently avoid certain levels/stay on level 1 and 5. I especially hate the flying bug(especially in its grub form) and that stupid little duggy thing

Note that DSMN does include the option to attack towards the mouse whichever way you're facing, which makes a huge difference vs things like duggies!

There are also options out there for turning off the clock specifically during dungeons so that part's more resource management than speed check.

Anyway you gotta find some way around or through this because you're missing like six different biomes in just the mines, unique resource spots, monster drops you can't get anywhere else and it's not the only dungeon either.

I didn't like the mines early in the game, but after I got a great weapon and started bringing a ton of cheese with me, it was easy. Cheese gives you a ton of energy and health!

Thanks for the advice! I'll keep it in mind :)

I hope spacechase0 updates the Magic mod for 1.6 soon, the combat spells in that mod trivialise most enemies in the mines

Well, if you get down to level 30, I think it is, you'll not see either enemy type again. And the music gets better too.

Really can't understand this at all. Even the mines are very easy and chill for me. Skull cavern is way more stresfull for example. Volcano as well, primarily because of the need to use a tool more than in mines/cavern

the mines are very easy but my problem just lies with the monsters. I enjoy the mining part, hate the monsters design and function wise. Always freaks me out to see those grub flies and duggies
