I can't get snails bro

so I'm trying to get the achievement where you get all the fish, I'm pretty close but I can't get snails. does anyone know a place or a certain bait I can use to make that easier? or should I just craft a bunch of crab pots? (i'm on forest farm)

I'm getting snails pretty often with crabpots in the river next to the Ginger island farm (next to the return obelisk) using deluxe baits. But just any fresh water will do, just have more crabpots I guess.

Freshwater crab pots is the answer.
If you are on the Beach farm - then you will only get ocean crab pot catches there (except maybe in a small pond in the south, but I'm not sure of that), so you'll have to put them in teh river at Marnie's, or in the mountains, or in town.
As for bait - regular will do just fine, but better bait reduces the chance for trash, and may add chance for double catch or better quality: https://stardewvalleywiki.com/Crab_Pot#Specialized_Bait

Crabpots in the river south of your farm. Near leahs cabin. Iv got 6 pots there and usually every day iv caught two snails everytime. RnG of course, but yeah.
