LEO BUG (almost nowhere to be found after moving to pelican town)

I already have 7 hearts with Leo. He just moved to pelican town but I can't find him anywhere in town beside on his home in the early morning, but then he disappears after 9 am.

Crosschecked his schedule on wiki too, checked the museum, checked the mountain lake where he was supposed to be according to the wiki, but nope, nowhere to be found, not even on ginger island.

I use no mods in any way.

I think it's because 1.6 has a lot of villagers' schedules and routing changed.
I couldn't find Penny anywhere on Sundays in Summer - turns out she's at Maru's - they ahve a book club!
At that point I would just follow the villager in question from early morning 'til way in the night, document it - and then reset the day.
And yes - some info on wiki is outdated and not current (though most of it is updated already), but - who wants to spent days doing that stalking part?

Leo lives in a tree next to Linus's tent. You will frequently find him with Linus, or in the museum with the other kids, or he frequently goes back to Ginger island up near the volcano. I have even seen him near the community center.

Ever since the latest version of 1.6 came out (1.6.8 I think?), I find he is very frequently on Ginger Island and even sleeping there on days where he is supposed to be in the valley.

I believe this is a glitch. For me Leo goes every day to the Ginger Island when there should be days when he spends the whole day at Pelican town. He is only at Pelican Town every morning (when you may find him walking from his Tree House to the Willy's ship) or if it is a cutscene (heart event) or a festival.

I have looked at other locations as others have suggested but I can't seem to find Leo at all,, hopefully there is a fix soon as I saw this issue brought up on another thread not too long ago
