Any strats on how to destroy Abigail at the Egg Hunt?

I've been trying for so long and never been able to beat her... I have come close tho! I'd love to get some tips and tricks from comrades

My consistent strategy for winning every time has always been - go right at the start and grab the egg behind the bush below the saloon, head towards Evelyn and George's house and grab the eggs there, head directly behind Lewis' truck (there's an egg there), go behind the mansion and grab the egg next to the fence.

From the front of the truck, head directly downward and grab the egg there, then the one next to the tree beside the river. There's two eggs in the cemetery and another to the left. If you have enough time, you might even be able to grab the egg next to the sewer.

You're required to collect at least 9 eggs in the time limit to beat Abigail. The egg locations are the exact same every time the festival is played so if you need to learn the route that works best for you, feel free to practice to your heart's content.

Just gather more eggs? It really isn't that hard. Just save, and if you don't win, reload. Just pay attention to where the eggs are and move in a path that makes sense.

Just go down to the river and move to the right along it, gathering all the eggs you see until you reach the last bridge. You'd get 10 or so in no time.

the eggs are in a different spot second year, third year as first year and so on.

haven't noticed the eggs being in a different spot, has this really changed? only did it once in 1.6 I did notice the spirit eve festival changed things up. but egg festival was standard.

I think this was a new thing in 1.6 where the eggs have a brand new layout on even numbered years, but are otherwise the same as they've always been on odd numbered years. Same with the Spirit's Eve's second maze layout.

Still, there should be only two different layouts to keep track of - layout A for odd years, and layout B for even years.

9 eggs is all it takes.
Map doesn't change in the same year - only different in "next" year. So it's the same for years 1, 3, 5... And it's different but the same for years 2, 4,6...
And don't forget - you can restart the day if you can't beat it!
Just - go and do the hunt very first thing in the morning, as soon as it opens. Practice for as long as you want, and when you are confident - then do a proper run with all other things you want to do before the festival.
Or - you can watch a lot of youtube videos for egg locations.
But I always like hands-on approach more for myself.

There are also videos that should good routes for the new layout on youtube if you can't be bothered finding a decent route yourself.
