No borderless window
I wish we had an actual, working, borderless window option in the game, the current one behaves more like fullscreen than anything.

if you play on windows maybe try Windowed Boarderless Gaming. Check my profile you will see the group for the app, it is free. I haven't tried it with stardew valley but maybe it can be an option for you with games that don't have this open. The app is free to download/use

Thanks for the suggestion, but the issue here is that the game is locked at 60 frames, so unless you take your monitor's refresh rate down to 60 Hz (at least while playing the game), you are going to have a long black screen every time you Alt-Tab out of the game and back in.

I just tried this and it didnt work. I did some more research(unrelated to Stardew) and found that HDR can cause issues.

After disabling HDR, and reloading the game, I can now alt tab flawlessly with Borderless Window. Also I am running at 165hz refresh rate.

FINALLY!

The so called borderless window setting for the game is unfortunately not that.

I doubt we'll get to see it implemented in this game due to how it was built.
