Full Inventory Caused Loss of Emily's Clothes Gift?

Hello all. I was playing via local co-op with my friend and her little girl and she was delighted that she'd gathered all 200 fiber on her own and had reached Emily's 14-star heart event and was gifted the Magic Clothes, Genie stuff and all from her.

But her inventory was full and she really didn't want to throw anything away.

So we told her (assuming this was true across the game like in other areas) to just leave them with Emily for now, empty her inventory, and then go back and get them from her.

To our upset, returning to Emily does NOT yield the gift.

Nor does going to the Mayor's Lost and Found chest.

Can anyone help us get them back? I'm even okay with using an item spawn command if that's the only way, while the little girl is away just as long as they still look and are described as the clothes she got from Emily!

You can Install the CJB item spawner mod from nexusmod, you can remove the mod after that

you can drop a few items on the ground and come back and get them later when you need to accept gifts.
or if you are playing together, have her drop items and you pick up the items,

I posted the issue on reddit and, as I had SMAPI installed, an awesome redditor told me how to trigger the Emily event again using just a code entry in SMAPI itself!

Look up SMAPI event trigger codes if you're affected by anything like this. :)

Actually, to do you all on better. If this SPECIFIC issue affects you, and you need to trigger the Emily gift event again, this was the help I got that worked for me!

With SMAPI installed, type debug ebi 3917601 into the SMAPI window (the black screen of the SMAPI app which is running along with your Stardew Valley game) while you are in the save you want to use to trigger the event.
