joja or community center
anyone have a preference? I went with community center the first few times I played and just started a new game since 1.6, any thoughts on this would be great, thank you.

100% completion (Perfection) AND any% (Evaluation) are achieveable with both.
Joja is still slightly better if you lean towards farm animals, due to way easier access to Auto Petter. And no need to hunt for that damned Red Cabbage... but you'll have to grind other things for Evaluation, obviously. And pay. With Gold. With metric ton of Gold.
There are rumours that it's still possible to grab all freebies from bundles then go Joja...

i always go community center it gives me a reason to do stuff, if i went joja then i would just build up my farm for pure profit and wouldnt bother fishing or raising animals or any of that

Community center. It's a lot more fun collecting things and unlocking stuff instead of simply making a giant cash crop farm.

Community center. Joja is a evil corporation trying to take over the small town. Restoring the center brings the town back together and strengthens the community.

It is also more rewarding then just throwing cash at the warehouse. You can also change what the bundles need in the advance settings when you start a new game if you want to change it up.

Joja route feels pretty anticlimatic to be honest, not suited to this game.. Did it just once for achieve, otherwise comm. center always.

Community centre in vanilla totally.

I can see why people picking Joja due to Auto Petter. But eh, I don't mind about it much.

Lore wise, still want giving Pierre a competitor but CC all the way.

I'd probably go CC if only because it's a lot more fun trying to gather all the resources needed to complete every single bundle, whereas with Joja, all I really have to do is make enough money to fund all the community development projects which I was very easily able to do before the end of Fall, Year 1.

My previous 2 saves, i went with CC. Start a new save for the new update 1.6 (also using the new farm type) and i'm currently doing joja route, and i'm having so much fun :D I like how it feels less pressure/grindy and i'm being more social with the villager.

Bounding with Joja makes things easyer. You can buy everything with gold so never need to wait for that 1 item only showing up and winter and if you mis it, the need to wait another year.

Personally I played the Joja route once for the achievement and never again.
It just feels better to go with community center because that is the vibe this game gives in the first place.

Wich of the 2 you want to play is up to you ofc.

On vanilla usually the community centre. on SDV expanded i might go the Joja route next time though due to the added depth and actually having an impact onto the down beyond just being a money sink.

Not just rumors. It's even recommended to do the bus restoration through the community centre first, since you get a crystalarium for it for only a few 1kg more. Also while earning the money for that, it's usually also easily possible to do the poiler room in the meanwhile and it doesn't hurt to get the easy stuff like the foraging bundles.

Joja. Always Joja. I am such a fan of Joja that I wear blue and decorate my house in blue to show my support. I also have a mod that lets me marry Morris. Oh, and I recommend adding the Stardew Valley Expanded mod to anyone who chooses to give the Joja route a try.

I'm blue da ba dee da ba daa ~~~
