Bug with the dwarf

I have already delivered the 4 dwarf scrolls to the museum and they have given me the translation guide for dwarfs but I still don't understand them and I can't seem to get it.

I am also having the same issue as well on a fresh 1.6 save, have all the scrolls donated and language learned given gifts and talked to dwarf but no hearts game (gifts given were extra scrolls which are liked gifts).

Note: I did attempt to give gifts and talk to the dwarf prior to learning the language, could this have been the cause of the bug???

Found the Fix, once you have the dwarf language learned apparently you need to restart the game ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Yes, but my problem is that even though I have already delivered the four scrolls and the animation to give me the guide has appeared. It appeare to me as if he hadn't given it to me but I can't get it again because it won't let me give him the scrolls again.

If you encountered an actual bug here and you really don't have it despite donating all 4 scrolls, you can fix it with a mod. CJB Cheat Menu to be exact, there's an option there to give you any one of those special items that unlocks something, the dwarven translation guide for example.

But you do know that you don't get it as an actual item? It just appears in the new tab in the menu (purple star tab).

I have the same problem. I donated the four scrolls, and received the translation guide. I was able to communicate with the dwarf before the upgrade. But after the 1.6 upgrade, I can no longer understand the dwarf, and the translation guide has disappeared from my special skills folder (or whatever it's called now).
