Dehydrator usage?
Do you have good usage for Dehydrator? I found quite limiting the clay requirement, so not big reason to shift from mass jar/kegs.. maybe if one has really tooo much of fruit to process so the shorter processing time is advantage but this is not the case in msot scenarios (and the requirement of clay will be still bottlneck for some large processing...). So absically I do not see use case why even buy the recipe. Any thoughts?

use the dehydrator on mushrooms the purple ones dehydrate to like 3k per, and also common dehydrated mushrooms heal a lot of stamina and health, for fruit and stuff though you're still better off doing kegs and jars

For fruit you don't want to use them to only raise the price, but mushrooms definitely profit of it.

the health/stamina raise isn't really worth it in pure numbers, since you need 5 ingedients, but the dried version only heals for 3x the base value, but if you really have too much of them (like i often use Mango as health item, but have more of them than necessary), then you can do it to make the hp restoration less tedious.

Also you can put raisins into a junimo hut, where they eat one per week and will then have a chance to harvest a crop twice.

Turn your grapes into raisins and give the raisins to your junimo's hut !

if you turned the cave into a shroom farm then once your done with the community center and have crafted all recipes requiring shrooms they become useless so its perfect for dehydrating, i got 5 in my cave working round the clock

All three items that you can get from the dehydrator are now required to be shipped at least once for 100% completion.

Also, the raccoon will at one point ask you to bring him a bag of dried mushrooms so if you're going to complete that side quest, you will need one at some point.

The price increase is smaller, but you can process way more fruit per machine. They'd be really good for crops like blueberries and cranberries which take an obscene amount of jars or kegs to process in a reasonable time. Here's the math comparison:

Kegs take 7 days for 1 unit to improve to 3 times the base unit price.
Jars take 3 days 1 for unit to improve to 2 times the base unit price + 50 gold.

Dehydrators take 1 day for 5 units to improve to 7.5 x the base unit price + 25 gold.
For easier comparison's sake;
It takes one unit 0.2 days to improve to 1.5 x the base unit price + 5 gold.

At those rates, a dehydrator will process 15 times more units than a preserves jar and 35 times more units than a keg.

Using blueberries as an example each machine will process:

keg: 1 unit for 150 gold vs dehydrator 35 units for 2,800 gold.

Jar 1 unit for 150 gold vs dehydrator 15 units for 1,200 gold.

If you are having problems finding clay you need to go to various areas you can use your hoe and dig up the soil or sand as this will give you clay over time.

There are large spots such as in front of robins store or the beach or even in the mines if your farm is too full to do it there also.

Clay is not only possible to get from artifact spots like some people believe.

In my experience, you get more clay from the mine.

I yearn for the clay of the mine.
