i was mining and noticed a sound every 5 levels, then next to the clock i saw a spoted egg that adds a number evry 5 levels, what it is?

Sounds like you are mining in Skull Cavern. This is for the Desert Festival. The eggs are the currency for prizes. The higher the number the higher the chance to find the eggs while mining or killing monsters.

You can also talk to Gil (rocking chair guy) during the festival about it. If it's high enough you'll get even more prizes.
