First/Story Cat gone missing

Hi.
I am the host for a multiplayer-game for my friends and I.
We are missing my ingame cat.
Just arrived in summer and we already missed it for a few days. But now we noticed it even went missing from the animal-tab.

Yes, I already went looking for the savefiles...
But all the information about "where to change the pets name", "rejected by mistake" and stuff like that doesn't help me... can't even find its name in any of the files.
It's like the game just deleted the cat without giving me the option for a new one...

My game did the exact same thing, but with our farm's dog. I really hope they fix it soon and add a way to get a new pet
