Golden Pumpkin missing from year 2 fest

i finished the second larger maze in year 2, and there was no more cave and but there was a chest on the right of the maze and it gave me a token and not a golden pumpkin, am i missing it, looking in the wrong area perhaps. (I have no mods on)

I had the same experience! When I found the treasure chest with the prize ticket inside, I searched the maze another 3 times to no avail.. :(

I got the same. I hope they still keep in the golden pumpkin I've only done one world in stardew and I sold my last golden pumpkin because of the security of having another one. I hope there is another way to get one

This is another change made in 1.6

Upon finishing the maze the first time, you get the usual Golden Pumpkin. Every time after that, you get a Prize Ticket[stardewvalleywiki.com] which is a new item added as part of this update. You can trade it in at Lewis' ticket machine in his house for some special prizes.

BTW The same goes for the Egg Hunt and the Festival of Ice's fishing competition. After winning for the first time, instead of getting 1,000G like you did before, you'll get a prize ticket for subsequent wins.

Not always.

Especially not the first few. The Friendship Book is awesome, the 4 preserve jars aren't anything to sneeze at, either. I also got a dozen bombs out of one of the ticket (that's like almost 50 iron, I ain't turning my nose up at that).

I mean, if I had to choose between 1,000 gold and 50 iron, I'd rather have the 50 iron because my animals pull in 10-12k gold per day. 1000 gold is nothing.

Heck, I'd take the rando flower seeds over the 1000 gold.

Not to mention the special drink you can get (Can't remember it's name now). You can gift it to any villager and it A: doesn't count as an actual gift and B: if they are not your wife, it gives them 1 full heart in frendship (From what I've tested anyways). So, this speeds up making friends even more with the book (Which makes talking to them actually worth it)

Yep so- doing my first Joja playthrough, so missed the first years festival (wasn't focusing on relationships yet), in year 2 and wanted to get my pumpkin, but my chest just had the golden ticket as well- so I haven't accessed the Golden Pumpkin at all.

... sure half of them is trash but there are also fruit tree seeds, irridium sprinklers, universal love gifts, 5x irridium bars, lot of bombs, book...

A golden pumpkin is pretty much worthless as well in year 2 though. You could make more money by not going to the festival and instead spend time in the skull caverns to farm for some iridium.
