where is clay??
now you need TEN clay to build a silo? fine, but WHERE IS THE CLAY? i have hundreds of hours in this game and i know how to find clay. There isn't any now. After 6 days, I have found ONE stems aka worms.

clay was always a stupid bottleneck. you can get clay irl from practically any tillable earth. but no.

This bothers me a lot, not because it is a huge deal, it is a major annoyance, but far more important, it signals a poor new direction in the choices the dev has made, which could mean a lot more bad news.

I just hoed basic ground on my farm. Took quite a few hits just for one clay but I got enough eventually since I also couldn't find worms early on.

The beach is also a good source of clay.

They should just remove clay. It only has 2 uses iirc, and only 1 that anyone ever really uses (silo).

just remove it from the game. it's useless, except as a pita.

its used for garden pots, fiber seeds and deluxe retaining soil. all things that are (very) useful.

oh, I dont use any of those at all. garden pots are op, fiber seeds i think i get from seed maker and i dont like retaining soil or anything that changes growth rate of crops, and i use sprinklers always. so none of those have any use for me.

In low level mines - take a hoe

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ you can get fiber seeds from seed maker? that's a gamechanger cause sap is way harder to get than clay.

They don't need to remove clay, it just needs to be way, way more common. It's harder for me to get than iridium now for Christ's sakes. Clay is everywhere in reality.

... no seriously it was ALWAYS 10 clay[stardewvalleywiki.com]. unless you think all of the old versions were secretly edited with falsified timestamps or something?

also you can get plenty of clay just from tilling. you don't need artifact spots.

"it isn't used for anything except silos, because i've decided that none of these things many people find useful count" is sure an argument.

On top of that you can get Cave Carrots to expedite the process if you do it in the mines.
