I love Immortal Life, which is a chinese take on farming sims with fighting and cooking.
Coral Island used to be promising also, but it's incomplete and still buggy, so you'll need patience for that. So pretty though...

when it comes to farm sims stardew is the cream of the crop, while there are other games none of them come close to stardew not even harvest moon which inspired this game

stay away from coral island despite being labled as 1.0 and finished it is not, the game is missing many features

many people give sun haven a good review however i havent played it myself so cant say for sure how good it is you can check it out

harvest moon winds of anthos is probably the best HM game on steam though its not all that amazing its okish in my opinion worth picking up on sale definitly not worth the full asking price

out of the story of seasons games its a wonderful life is said to be good however the game does end so keep that in mind, out of the SoS games i'd say pioneers of olive town is the best but its still very lacking compared to stardew

you can also check out the my time in portia and my time in sandrock games while not the same type of game as stardew it does get compared to it very often for some reason and they are good

theres also the runefactory games on steam which is like harvest moon except with combat like stardew but i've never played those so cant say how good they are

EDIT: forgot to mention theres also pixelshire while its not out yet it looks promising so worth keeping an eye on

Sun haven, its like this but with 10x the content, giving u 3 different farms in different regions as you progress (one is even on a rooftop in a demon city) trough the storyline, each with unique seeds/currencies and features. plus everything you cook and eat gives permanent stat boosts with diminishing returns, making cooking different recipes actually fun and rewarding. the pixel art is also much more detailed

edit: also agreed with the other posters here, coral island was a huge disappointment

another masterpiece u could try is Rune factory 4 special.
besides having many features as stardew and sun having, its crafting system and monster raising system is unrivaled

taken from my review: theres over 40 different things to level up that all contribute to your characters hp/stamina (rp) and other stats, a very indepth crafting system with tier bonuses depending on the total level of items you have fused together with a weapon or armor. any monster can also be tamed and used as a battle companion

Kynseed, Graveyard Keeper and Moonstone Island have similar gameplay but are less farming oriented.
Hutetu Mar 21, 2024 @ 10:19am
Roots of Pacha
Littlewoods (It's lacking a bit, but i found it actually very fun!)

yes graveyard keeper is alot of fun though its not the same type of game as stardew, i've only played the basegame and the silly symbol clock is a bit annoying having to wait around for certain days for certain npcs to show up so you can buy a certain item so need to unlock the new recipe to advance is annoying but still fun, never played any of the dlc so cant say how good those are or if they make the base game better

Graveyard keeper is great, However it's a very different game, much more focused on crafting and graveyard management, with eveything else coming secondary to that.

My life in Portia is entirely 3d with different camera, however it has very similar vibe to SV. Can recommend it just as well.

i know in one or "the dlc", u get to run a tavern, and you'll need to do a lot of farming to provide food or grapes/hops for wine and beer

I have three good recommendations:

https://store.steampowered.com/app/758870/Kynseed/

https://store.steampowered.com/app/1432860/Sun_Haven/

https://store.steampowered.com/app/1245560/Roots_of_Pacha/

Played all of these, and the experience they offer are indeed similar to the one you get in Stardew Valley, but also different enough to not feel like "just another SV game". :brownchicken:

that sounds nice, would love a game like stardew where instead of farming we run a tavern, something like reccettear except a bar instead of an itemshop

edit:fixing typos cause i cant spell today
