Other ways of obtaining jellies?

So three of the new items introduced are the rare jellies that can be caught in the river, sea and caves. I've caught all three of them at least once and all three are required for the new Fish Smoker recipe. The cave and sea jellies I have stored in my chest. However, I think I accidentally sold my river jelly not knowing I actually needed it for that purpose, so I have to catch it again, but it's driving me insane as I've been fishing in the river for an entire week straight and yet no jelly.

So I figured that there must be some other way of obtaining these jellies, and I've run into one such case myself. The bookseller sometimes offers jellies in exchange for books, but I've only had him offer cave jellies (twice) which is not what I'm looking for. Has anyone else found other ways of obtaining these super rare jellies?

You can also catch river jellies (surprisingly enough) in the mountain lake, so try there?

That was the exact spot I caught my first river jelly. I even tried fishing for it again there but with no luck. :(

So after searching for River Jelly[stardewvalleywiki.com] on the Stardew valley Wiki, I discovered that you can also use a Midnight Carp pond to get River Jellies once the population in the pond reaches at least 7.

Managed to get the bookseller to offer sea jellies, which, while still not quite what I'm after, is at least a step in the right direction. I now know he offers one type of jelly which may change with every visit, so I might eventually get what I'm looking for this way. Fortunately, I still have at least one copy of the book I need in my chest so I can come prepared when the time comes.

Finally managed to fish one out of the river again, this time actually using it for the Fish Smoker instead of selling it like the last one. The funny thing is, though, I actually had a very different goal in mind, for I tried to fish out as many Golden Mystery Boxes as possible and a copy of the Jewels of the Sea book needed to exchange for jellies. I never got another copy of the book, but I ended up getting the jelly I was after while trying for that.

It's like the game will only be generous enough to give me what I'm after when I'm not actually after it. Or maybe it had something to do with the very recent hot fix that just released which might have slightly increased the likelihood of finding them.

Needless to say, I am now a lot happier.
