Of Renovations and Family

I like that you can expand your house and, should you feel things are a bit TOO big, remove those renovations. However, my two young ones seem to disagree. Whenever I go to Robin to try and remove one of the renovations, one or both of them are somehow ALWAYS in that area. And since they count as objects? Well, there's no getting rid of the renovation while they're there. And I can't just warp home, pick them up, quickly move them away, then head back either; that's not a thing that can be done, sadly.

Anyone know a workaround to resolve my family's steadfast refusal to shrink down my house? Better yet, if there's more QoL updates coming in the future for Stardew? Perhaps being able to remove renovations while family members are in that area could be one of them.

hm, maybe you could place the fence by the kid's room's entrance while they sleep? i'd assume they'd be stuck in there by the morning

good thinking, basically like those gates you use for babies and pets, when trying to keep them in specific areas.
