Sea, Cave, and River Jelly

I need these items for a fish smoker but cannot get them despite a fair bit of fishing for the life of me. Is there a trick to this? Are they just super rare? They feel a lil TO rare for something so important for fish refinement.

They're fairly rare, but not THAT rare. I got 2 ocean jellies in the first three days. Just keep fishing and you'll get them eventually. For the cave one, I've seen a couple of people say they've got those on floor 100 of the mines.

any freshwater location

I've gotten it in cindersap, pelican town, and the mountain lake. It can probably be found on the farm too.

i get anything from 0 1 or 2 jelly per day fishing in the montains

Y'all I am having NO luck I have spent DAYS fishing in various spots with no jelly whatsoever. I have even resorted to getting auto hook on my fishing pole and just casting over and over, ignoring the actual fish cause I'm here fr jelly only. Is it based on weather or season per chance?

What's everyone fishing levels? Is it tied to that? I'm level 10 auto hook iridium rod no jelly after 3-4 days non stop

maybe being too high of a level makes the chance for it really low, but you can trade the fishing books for jellies at the new book guy twice a season

Might be luck. I got an ocean jelly on my 2nd or third cast after getting the bamboo pole. Been getting more ocean jelly but also a couple river jelly. Guess I have to work on the mines to get the third one.

For me river one appeared sooner. Cave one was from my fish pond, the red one. And the beach one took me 3 days non stop farming all day. Legit the first time I run out of energy and it was from fishing.
Just keep at it till you get it.

You're quite unlucky, by day 7 I already had around 5 sea jelly and 2 river jelly, I did spend entire days just fishing tho.

I noticed the fishing bait is nerfed. I started the legendary jr's Qi quest and was just catching trash until I switched to the new bait on the last day and finally caught all 5. Also, my lava eel pond is giving me cave jelly a couple of times per week.
