Green Rain

i had an event on summer 14 of year one it started on summer 13 with an emergency weather broadcast about unusual weather and then the next day the valley (even town) was covered in new green haze nd green rain as well as new types of fiber plants(2-3 hits with normal scythe to break) that dropped mixed seeds (flower and regular), fibre and moss there were also giant fibre plants (2x2) that had a chance to drop a new type of wild tree seed and new wild trees that dropped fiddlehead fern when chopped. most of the villagers took shelter in gus' saloon all day and even demetrius had a hazmat suit on to "collect samples". has anyone else had this event yet ive been looking for other people to talk about it but i havent seen anything yet.

Yeah, I've had the event too. The green rain essentially supercharges the environment and causes all matter of wild growth to occur. The big green stalks that show up are a great way to get Fiddlehead Ferns prior to clearing the way to the woods to the west of Marnie's.

I didn't try to cut the big tree to get fiddlehead. :(

I tried fishing but didn't find anything new. I was super excited to explore the map and try new things to find something new but I only discovered moss. I already have some recipes that need it !

I hope ConcernedApe adds a quest to go along with it at some point. I was kind of hoping you would have a little mini quest where you talk to everyone, confirm they're okay and then deliver news from the wizard that everything is fine and get rewarded with friendship points for doing so. Or you rescue people trapped in their homes by the foliage or something. It was a cool event, but I was little disappointed there wasn't some kind of quest to accompany it.
