New blue grass
been playing for awhile now, just got back into stardew and starting a new vanilla run, was wondering how to harvest blue grass, or do i just let the animals eat them passively?

Usually you will find something to grow those grasses by mid-end game.

But spoiler ahead, you can't get any seed from cutting those grass unless final product of cutting is included in recipe.

I let my animals eat the grass at this point. Not sure if they grow up faster or likes me faster with eating it, but it feels like smth like that.
My silo is just builded and i couldn't test the possible harvest difference yet (have to wait for the player 2 who's sleeping right now xD). I strongly assume that you have to harvest it with a scythe :D.

came here because the gras was in the Headline, someone can tell me what exactly tells the blue gras apart from normal one exept the color? does it makes animals hapier than the green? does it spread faster? has it more chomping charges before it goes away?
the game is very vague about it exept telling me the animals will like it...

They grow faster at least i had a small and a big chicken at the start. so i guess one ate the blue grass

Going by what I've seen, the blue grass makes them happier at the very least. I had two chickens, one of them was eating blue grass while the other had normal, and the blue grass eater had 1 full heart compared to only half for the non-blue eater. Speed of ageing might also be faster, since both my chickens were adult in only 2 days rather than the usual ~4.

edit: also, I had two gold star quality eggs from their second ever harvest as well, which certainly isn't normal at that early stage. I've since had silver quality, too, so the grass seems to be pretty good.
