Infinite power not triggering

I have the infinity sword from before 1.6 and the achievement for getting it isn't popping, would I have to get it again in a new save to get it?

Someone in another thread said you have to buy another Galaxy Sword (at the Adventurer Guild) and then re-forge it with another 3 Galaxy Souls into the Infinity Weapon, but I have not personally tested this myself.

All I know is I did not unlock the trophy automatically on my perfection file.

Going to try that right now, thanks. Yep I reckon all of us are on our perfection files trying to get back 100% achievements right now XD

Just tried it, yep it works. Hopefully you guys have some Qi gems and cinder shards saved up to buy those galaxy souls on your older saves xd.

Lol I didnt understand a word... where can I buy souls? How can I reforge? No infinity swords are sold in the adventurer guild btw

You need the Galaxy Sword, which needs to be forged into the Infinity Blade using 3 Galaxy Souls. The former can be bought from the Adventurer's Guild for 25,000G, while the latter needs to be exchanged for 120 Qi Gems total.

Okay you get galaxy souls on ginger island and the galaxy sword you get in the desert by using a prismatic shard, and the forge is at the top of the volcano in ginger island

Seems like an oversight. I will just try making a second one to get the achievement but then force quit so it doesn't save.

Does this specifically have to be the Infinity Sword or will any of the Infinity weapons work? I already have the sword, if I have to make another it's not a huge deal but I figured I might as well get something new out of the process if that is an option.

To answer my own question above for anyone else wondering, I can confirm that making an Infinity Gavel worked for getting the achievement.

said this in another thread, but yeah I can look into changing it so that it will check for the achievement when the weapon is added to your inventory, instead of when it's forged. And maybe also a check when you load the game, if it's already in your inventory. That should cover all bases. Thanks for pointing it out everyone
