I may have seen a raccoon?

Walking from Robin's down past the Community Center at around 8 PM I saw some sort of animal dart into the bushes in the lower right corner. It was moving too fast to be sure but it could have been a raccoon. Didn't find anything in the bushes. Never saw anything like it before!

Yeah, I saw a possum run into my farm at the bus stop when coming from the town at around 10 at night. Didn't see any traces of it on my farm though.

Yeah, saw a raccoon after repairing the greenhouse, it ran directly down from the building.

It very much looked like a possum, it didn't run into a bush it just ran off-screen.

Thanks for the replies, I didn't know whether it looked more like a raccoon or a possum. It could be either, didn't get a very good look at it.

Could've sworn I saw a possum outside Marnie's at night, laying belly up til I moved close enough it entered my view and then it jumped up and ran to the bushes

Pretty sure it was an opossum from the colouring, it ran into the bush to the far left of the Mountain map (to the left of Linus' tent). I tried shaking all the bushes but nothing happened. Still, pretty cool! Saw it in Spring.

Thinking its similar to the rabbits and squirrels that you can run into during the day but instead its at dusk or night.

the raccoon shows up after a couple years ingame usually! if you interact with them they will ask you for specific foods, and if you complete a few of them it will unlock a small reward :)

The giant raccoon appears in spring after you finish the community center. I've seen an opossum:

Why couldn't there be a raccoon, too? Probably appears to illustrate why you shouldn't let your chickens roam around free at night

I saw both regular raccoon and a possum at night. I think former was during greenhouse restoration event?
