River/Cave Jellies

I'm trying to craft a fish smoker--I caught 3 sea jellies very quickly after updating. Been trying to catch a river jelly for 4 in game days straight, have not caught a single one. Same with the cave jelly. Does anyone know if there's a secret to it, or is anyone having a similar problem?

I got a river jelly trying to get catfish on day 3 in cindersap forest, pretty sure its just a low chance is all

maybe the rain boosted the chances for it

edit: I got 6 river jellys in one sunny day from pelican town river + the lake so its just luck based

My experience with fishing these is:

Seajelly is easy to fish directly from the beach behind the fishershop. (first one was my first catch ingame and 3 other if i fished on the same place on other days). Everytime the weather were sunny. The Luck was normal - lucky.

I didn't get the riverjelly as quick and easily like the seajelly, but my spot where i fished one in a short time was in pelican town river under the sam+family house. It was sunny weather - maybe a bit windy but i don't remember exactly. - the fortune teller told me that the luck isn't on my side this day.

I didn't find any cavejelly yet. (one day of fishing in the basic mine on the first fishing level). Dunno if it's the wrong level or any other circtumstances. But i really think it's the way to get these jelly type. I think i didn't spend enough time in fishing this type on this point :). It was a rainy day btw. and i don't remember the luck level at this day.

So maybe the jelly has increased/decreased drop chances by other luck level? Maybe some of them needs misfortune or more luck? We will see with more experience.

I got river jellies just fishing the river at the bottom of town.

Lava Eels can give 3 Cave Jelly in the fish ponds, I also got 1 River Jelly from I think it was Rainbow Trout fish pond.

I imagine most pools are re-balanced to include these as a drop from various fish, probably based on where you find the fish to begin with.

I got one of them from a Lava Eel fish pond. I think I eat it.

I caught a cave jelly in floor 100 of the mines. Same place you can normally catch lava eels.
