Moss, where?
I just saw the new things for crafting, haven´t seen anything else yet, but i notice this new resource. Anyone knows where is it and how to farm it like a madman?

If you're looking for moss I was lucky enough to have found some in the forest south of the farm. It says it grows in shady areas

Summer is the best time to get moss. There's a special event called "Green Rain," and it makes moss pretty much grow everywhere for a whole day. You can harvest the moss with a scythe or axe.

after the green rain you will find moss on trees randomly all over the place, especially on trees that dont get chopped down, I found moss on all the trees in town one day.

it'll randomly grow on trees and after a unique summer rain it will grow much more commonly on trees, any tool will harvest it including a sword

ya so did I , the problem is at first we dont know what to look for and probably missed it early on. Once you know what to look for, you will find more of it all the time.

I was able to farm for a lot of moss very easily simply by planting a whole bunch of trees everywhere in Calico Desert, essentially turning it into a forest.

Moss regularly grows on these trees, even during Winter.

It grows everywhere. When you see a tree with a green-tinted blotchy trunk, just swipe at it with your sword and it comes off. No need to chop the tree down. It's not rare at all, you'll find multiples a day without even looking for it.

Somewhere it says it grows on "old trees"- so just have a section where you don't chop them down, and it should respawn on those trees periodically.

some trees become infected with moss and will continue to regrow it (and spread the moss to other trees nearby)

it's time-gated. the trees have to be old enough to grow moss.
