Game doesnt open after Update, tried everything

I literally tried everything, it was modded but I deleted SMAPI, but all the MODs in another separeted folder, I already set the lauch option as defaut, i did reset the Steam, deleted the "starting option config" file from my game folder,
I verify the game files 10 times already, tried re-running, didn't work.

it's been 3 hours I'm trying to play the updated version and at this point I'm literally just crying cause I dont know what else to do.

Also I'm afraid of uninstalling and losing all my archievements/hours played on steam.

don't worry uninstalling doesn't delete achievements and hours on steam,

you can try uninstalling it but before copy the save file folder just to be sure. you shouldn't need to tho cuz the save should be saved in the steam cloud

If you had SMAPI installed probably you changed the exe file that steam tries to load. Try to open the game by clicking on exe file in game folder. Or just change the game preferences in Steam :)

if you had mods, did you delete out any launch options you might have had?

(Right click Stardew. Pick properties and see if there's anything in the launch options)

@jjul.tt I deleted the exe file that steam tried to load from my folder, just so after the file verification, it would come back clean, and it did, but the game still doesn't load.

You need to change the preferences still.
1. Go to your Steam Library
2. Find Stardew Valley and right click -> Preferences
3. In General Tab change Launch Options to default exe file :)

@GStain I did deleted every mod-related from the original folder, and it makes no sense that its still not working. I restart my steam and my pc, but the game doesn't lauch..

uninstalling will be perfectly fine, you dont lose hours or achievements.

as for whats causing the game to not load... im not sure, would of expected issue with loading a new game, not the game loading itself (from start of play button, but issues loading old saves or starting a new game) due to mods not being updated, launch options, or mod removal with modded items being left in the old save.

as someone mentioned, did you delete the launch options you need for smapi to work?

didnt work, I thought it would because its the original file name.

Then I deleted (its blank now, which i guess its the defaut) and it still doesnt work.

to guarantee your game starts you should copy and paste the whole folder and save it somewhere, then uninstall the game, delete the remaining folder and reinstall the game, this should work 100%

Hmmm have you tried to run the game directly from folder? To just click on Stardew exe file?

Alternatively uninstalling and installing again doesn't do any harm to achievements nor saves. I was doing this today :)

This and clearing the launch options. If that doesn't work, then I'm lost.

I had 7 different game files here: AppData\Roaming\StardewValley\Saves
and only 1 that I used MODs with, I moved this save file into another different place, I swear it would work, but it didnt.
And yes I did delete the SMAPI lauch options.
