To get more rain: When your Foraging level is high enough, you can craft rain totems to make it rain the following day, as long as it isn't a festival. I think it needs hardwood, pine tar and... something else, not sure.
To get more iridium: Once you reach the bottom of the mines, a new set of mines will open up... somewhere! Their location: Calico Desert, after unlocking the bus
On a less spoiler-y note, I have to ask what your farming setup is? Something sounds wrong somewhere in there. If you're using all of your energy watering crops, then you either have too many crops, not enough quality sprinklers, or you're growing some very bad crops. If you have tons of crops, then in theory you should have tons of money... but that doesn't seem to be the case, if you're unable to spend 10k on a pickaxe upgrade, or finish the bank bundle which costs like 40k. You need to reevaluate your farm. If you have 200 cranberries, downgrade to 120, or pickaxe like 10 and slap down 10 quality sprinklers. It sounds like the game is going much harder for you than it should be. You should focus on finishing the mines when possible, but it's not urgent until you finish the bank vault. There's also a very useful item on floor 100 of the mines, so once you reach it, it should help a tiny bit with your energy issues.
EDIT: Another thing maybe not immediately obvious... Have you been using an upgraded watering can and hoe's special ability? Your gold watering can, for example, will water 9 tiles at once if you charge it up. It saves a ton of time and energy...
Iridium: (1) you could get by random with pan (get after complete fishing community bundles), but the rate drop is extremely low and random, mind you, you can't rely on it. (2) Breeding purple slimes, get blue slimes and red slimes and wait till they had purples slime baby, it'll have chance to drop iridium when killed. BUT, this process takes a long time and IMO really not worth the hassle.
Best way to get iridium is still from the dessert cave, and to do that, you need resources. It's really not worth it to wait for iridium sprinkler when you've still have to water your plant by hands IMO, unless you're one steps away from obtaining A LOT of iridium (meaning you already have access to dessert cave and have all the gear and supplies for iridium mining, which cost a lot).
My suggestion is get yourself comfortable first, money + upgrades your stuff. Meaning automate your farm with all the sprinkles you could get, plant lots and lots of crops, plant the most profitable plant (if you don't mind the lack of diversity), mass produce wine and jelly, upgrade your tools (upgraded tools use less stamina and perform much better, totally worth it)
When you don't have to water for stuff, you have more time for mining and other activities. And bigger farm means bigger returns, plant a lot. This could get you better supplies for iridium mining later on (House2: cooking for heal and stamina, also bombs and staircase).
Items for the museum can be found by hoeing the brown stems which poke out from the ground, getting Clint to open the geodes you get from mining and fishing, also by fishing.
as of spring year 2 i have 7 active plot of 50 crops, 2 of which are irrigated rice. at autumn of last year I had 4 plots of 50 crops. I spent my money in the winter to get farm animals and upgrade the barn to get wool, but I'm missing one upgrade. I'm low on money because I bought fruit trees for later in the year. so I have to rebuild my wealth.
I don't find Iron sprinklers worth it with the amount of space you lose just to water 8 squares when I can water 10. I'm basicaly going big or going home on my first ever playtrough and I have been running my crops at over half energy since summer of year 1. the reason I have plots of 50 is because 2 iridium sprinkler can water them for only a loss of 2 crop while other watering solution would cost me way more crops and resources
You gotta change the way you look at it/approach it. You only lose one tile per 3x3 grid, and IKF's point is that when you have a lot of quality sprinklers massed then you'll be making more money with bigger fields FAR better than just your watering can and energy meter can handle on any given day; not to mention the amount of time it frees up which can allow you to tackle other things throughout the day.
But if you're insistent on iridium sprinklers before you have a steady income of iridium ore, Krobus sells one every Friday for 10k which is a pretty good deal. It'll be a while before getting a bunch of them that way, but it'll get you started on where you want to go.
With my current field I make quite a lot of money, first 2 crops harvest of spring I had 10k but I bough trees with that, but yea freeing up time could be worth it but I just don't consider it efficient having 6 sprinklers per 50 crops instead of 2
the time and energy you are using for watering your crops is the time and energy you should be using to mine and farm wood for quality sprinklers and kegs. after a few years you will be at a point where you are using Iridium sprinklers and you might end up with quality ones in a chest but it's well worth it.
I only buy fruit tress early for the bundle, Apple and Pomegranate if I'm unlucky with the fruit cave, the rest can wait as they aren't vital
I aim to start summer year 1 with at least 20 sprinklers and ideally 40 - some of the power levelling ones make more that double that but I never make enough money fishing. Not something that bothers me as by year 2 I'm usually in a decent place with sprinklers and kegs
heres the my farm right now, it was the eggs festival the day before so I could not buy seeds to sow, im gonna put a shed next to the green house for artisan stuff and a mill next to the silo
I used gimp to edit a steam screenshot, and replace the picture with the pricture from the in game 25%, steam tought it was it's own screenshot and allowed me to upload it.
In canada we have these things called, sugar shack (cabane à sucre in french) were they make maple syrup and it's tradition to go to these cabins during the time were maple flow to eat traditional food with fresh maple syrup and maple toffee. I wanted an area to look like the cabins do, the right to of the bottom house is for maple syrup/pine tar and oak resin, the wood on the left I don't know what to do yet so it's staying a forest that im using to farm wood. the rest of the trees is decorative or surve as a fence for the animals. its way cheaper then building an actual fence that can break down
If nothing else, I'd recommend rearranging how you have your trellis crops set up, just based on my own annoyances with them... Sprinklers are absolutely worth it for trellis crops. :P

with an Iron water can, its 4 clicks to water it all like that and I can walk in between the rows to collect with out messing about.
I think the best way forward from here is to get the sewer key so you can buy iridium sprinklers from Krobus. Fishing, foraging and digging where there's worms is probably your fastest way forward (for additional money and museum items) and the most efficient with regards to energy.
If, in the winter, you chased the shadow person and got the magnifying glass, you should have some secret notes. It's worth checking these as a few give you the location of rare items.
Good luck!
Iridium certainly is more efficient regarding spaces and stuff, but that's way they're design hard to obtain (and pricey). Q sprinkler is more of mid game booster item, it isn't pretty, but easy to make and let you plant sh t load of stuff, which is helpful because late game things & upgrades are pricey.
Also don't forget that you will naturally have the chance to rearrange farm layout when the season change anyway. It'll mess up your design sure, but i still recommended to use it in the mean time for fast cash.
