LIGHTNING ROD
So, it turns out that you can only get the Lightning Rod recipe if you choose Foraging once you hit Foraging level 5.

And I need a Lightning Rod so I can make battery packs for my Iridium Sprinkler.

Any chance I can get the lightning rod recipe? I don't want to buy battery packs from the Traveling Cart as I feel it's such a ripoff. :(

No you get the recipe at level 6 foraging, profession has no affect on recipes obtained.

Are you already level 6 or higher? As far as I know Lady Mint is right and the Wiki also doesn't include any information that this recipe should be limited to a certain profession.

You also get the recipe as forester. I choosed that profession, too. Chope some more tree to reach the next foraging leve. Chop, chop! :-)

To grind forage skills isn't that hard, especially during winter. Just plant Wild seeds every season. harvesting them give you forage skill so just keep doing it. Winter Wild seeds is the best way to farm during winter.

Making these sprinklers is a waste of precious iridium bars. You will be able to buy those sprinklers later in game once per week
