Community Center or Joja?
Personally, I prefer to complete the community center, but no offense, if after I complete the community center and in the end the place is not used Or even local residents do not visit the community center after cut scene, I feel quite disappointed and it's better to buy a Joja membership. Or has there been an update regarding this?

By the way, I also want to know what you guys think?

well I have always done the community center too, so I dont know what its like to do the Joja, but that guy is so arrogant and mean to Pierre that I would not join his business.

There is an event that will happen later where they announce a monthly community event there, but I am not sure if that is from a mod I previously installed. I will find out as I play thru my current game without all the mods I had before.
But you are right, the community center is not used enough for all the work we put into finishing it.

People DO visit the community centre after completion. Clint often annoyed the hell out of me because he'd be over there instead of his shop (part of why I use the self-service mod, heh).

As for which one, it's a matter of choice and depends what you're doing, really. For a speed run to get the greenhouse ASAP, or similar challenge runs, Joja is the obvious choice since you can open the greenhouse before the end of first spring like that. But generally I prefer the process of completing the bundles.

Depends on how it is implemented

Given how annoying the resort can be at times where you need to find a specific person, having even more random deviations doesn't make it any better.

However, when this happens in a specific date, like in Stardew Valley Expanded where the 22nd of each month will become the community day, this is something you can at least plan around, though for me it's not that much about the immersion, but more a good time to hand over gifts.

In the end, i don't really care that much about if people go there, after all i'm not visiting myself as well, so who am i to demand them going there^^

From a role-playing perspective, you play a character who was a cubicle wage-slave at Joja headquarters, and ... who couldn't handle the soul crushing nature of the work.

So ... for me ... I always go the Community Center route. The idea of giving in and becoming a customer of the "Big Box" store is too much. My character walked away from the company once, I don't see a reason to go back.

From a game play perspective, it's meant to be a balance, an option. Joja has different prices, some things are more, but many things are less (Pierre sells flour for about 3 times as much as Joja). Many players prefer to maximize their efficiency, and don't like the seasonal dependency of the Community Center, for them, going the Joja route lets them choose which upgrades to get in which order.

And from a RP perspective again, Joja does employ both Shane and Sam, and various villagers do go to the Community Center to spend time (notably Clint on Fridays).

So ... ultimately, while the Community Center is presented as the "good" choice and Joja is presented as the "evil" choice, neither is wholey good or wholey evil.

Really it's just a choice on what sort of game-play functionality you prefer. Do you like the "hunt and peck" of the Community Center? Or do you prefer the expediency of Joja?

Pick what works best for you, that's why the choice exists.

JOJA DID NOTHING WRONG JOJA FOR LIFE

I normally complete the Community Centre since I find it way more enjoyable and fun to complete every single bundle by collecting the various items requested as it requires me to interact with all the various aspects of the game itself, but I recently finished the Joja route and was quite surprised at how quickly I was able to complete all of the community development projects. I actually finished all of them by the end of Fall, Year 1, whereas it normally takes a second year for me to complete CC. :KidHat:

What was the profit margin on the run?

I stuck with the default 100% profit margins.
Though it might be interesting to try lowering the profit margins in a future run to see how I go.

Some people are really good at making a lot of money really quickly.

Me ... not so much ;)

It just depends on how you want to play the game. Stardew Valley gives you a lot of freedom to do what you want. I am just a simple Truffle Farmer who Forages and enjoys combat in the Mines. So this means I don't grow a lot of crops unless I have to for some quest rewards. Joja is the best choice for me and the way I want to play the game. Both Paths have some minor pros and cons but overall it doesn't make a huge difference who you side with in the end.

I moved to Pelican Town to get away from Joja. Why would I want to help them?

Actually that event is in the Stardew Valley Expanded mod called Community Center Day and occurs on the 22nd of every month. Nothing really happens other than all villagers getting together for the day. In vanilla, several villagers visit the CC but again, nothing happens for the player to interact.

Clint is only there on Fridays to maintain the boiler room. Evelyn visits to reminisce, Jody and Caroline go for a more private place to gossip, Maru and Emily both visit the Crafts room on occasion, their wiki schedules reflect times.
