Release date speculation for update 1.6

Let's speculate.

What we know:
- It will release in 2024
- The update is already in the testing phase

So, I speculate, it will release on February 26th 2024. It is the 8th anniversary of Stardew Valley and it is a Monday, a good day for a release.

Except that the post from Pathochild was ment for modders on the testrealm to warn them to get them mods ready and there might not be much time left.

This was by no means ment to go public because 'unofficial' is just that, unofficial.
It might be a calculated gess from Patho since he has been working with Concerned Ape but still. The final release date will be announced by Concerned ape.

Why is it so that people love to bring news out in the world that is not ment to be there yet in the first place?

patience, yes. But when you are hungry, and you can smell food cooking, you get hungrier by the minute and it can drive you nuts.
Some of us are just going nuts over hunger for the update that we all know is coming...... sometime. We have tasted the game and smelled the hints and previews , and feel the churning deep inside.
So which are we more hungry for? SV 1,6 or Chocolatier??? We must be patient and just let Concerned Ape know how much we appreciate his hard work,

The PC release date for version 1.6 is on March 19!
Consoles and mobile will come later, but the wait shouldn't be too long. Consoles (Switch, XBOX, Playstation) will likely come out first, then mobile afterwards.
